Lure Colour

Just had a fantastic couple of days Bass Fishing in Dorset with my mate Adrian Rogers and Mark Padfield ,,,
Drove all the way cross country from my Essex home setting off at 1.30am for the 3hr drive down to the Jurassic Dorset coast when Adrian and i arrived it was still dark and led head lights lead the way on the coastal paths ,cliffs and boulder strewn shores to a nice Dorset Bass Mark Lights off i teetered along the reefs to the fishing grounds,,,

In these early morning dark and low light lure fishing situations lure type is key,, so my personal lure choice was the above celebrated Komomo SF-125 a pure bass lure that has been manufactured by IMA Lures Japan since 1998 but more important is the colour and combined with a top Bass Lure first light with the Red /Orange (aka kin) a pure killing machine lure and colour working together for the angler in the early morning session cut your odds is my motto and this combo certainly does,,

First Bass a round 3lb in the black dark ,, fell to this lethal combo the bass love the red and orange in dark conditions at first and last light also overcast during the day that's why keep a aka kin in the lure box for just the situation of fading light

Happy as Larry and don't i look it!!! holding another Bass falling to the man with one lure,,yes a great tip for the new anglers to our sport the colour of the lure is king at first light and i know we all have our favourites but for me the aka kin is a superb colour on any lure,,, up until not so long ago i did not rate at all,,
just shows you what i Know Bass Lure fishing off the shore is hard enough in the UK in todays fast living world,, but with friends like the Komomo sf-125 aka kin they make it a little easier,,,,,,,

Hi Graham

Sorry I've not been in touch since we got back from Barmouth - Its been just a bit
manic on the work front.

Just wanted to say - thanks for a fantastic weekend.

The lads have never stopped talking about it - We caught 7 Bass in the short time
you spent with us and a further 6 in the day or 2 after you left us, one being my
personal best. I didn't weight it but it was a good 24" in length and felt like a
good 3lb or so as I kissed him and put him back to Sea.

We learnt more in the weekend than we ever taught ourselves in the full 18 years of
trying and failing to catch the elusive Bass. Not only did we learn more - we now
'expect' to catch them when we go out, whether it be on the bait or on the Lure.

Still haven't kept one for the table - almost kept my big one but he just looked too
nice to kill - he lives to take another bait.

Thank again Graham - keep in touch and don't forget us if you plan anything down
south or over in Ireland.

P-S - if you get a minute spare, please don't forget my list of tackle by e-mail.

Off to Barmouth again today for a couple of days - you could say I am hooked on Bass
fishing now.

To the man who is a legend in Bass - Thanks again - from the heart - from all of us.

Regards.

Steve Sidebottom & Family.
